Florida State Seminoles for the first time in a long 35 years to start the college football season without the veteran coach Bobby Bowden who retired after a low performing season. Bobby Fisher is the new coach of the Seminoles who will be calling plays today against Samford Buldogs. Florida State is currently ranked 20th in the nation and they are hoping that this will be the best year so far. With Fisher in coaching, expect for the new lease on life for the Seminoles.

The quarterback of the Florida State is Christian Ponder who is in his third year. He played well for 2,717 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions in nine games in 2009.
